From the first time I saw Clay’s Iron Man I wanted to set up a shoot with him. Even better, Joe brought his Winter Soldier along and we came up with the idea of doing a fight scene between them.

A couple of these shots were the most extreme I had done at the time as far as multiple lights, gels, and compositing go in an attempt to get the light sources and shadows right from Iron Man’s weapons.

Some of these shoots can run a little long and get tedious, so while I was doing a light test and some adjustments Clay decided that his Iron Man would entertain us with a song and dance medley to Disney movie hits. You can tell by the look on Joe’s face that not everyone was equally enthused, but I could tell he was singing along on the inside.
